Saturday I turned 29... last year in my twenties.  It was kind of harder than I thought.  I have really liked my late twenties, I feel like I've become more myself.  I've gotten settled in my career.  I feel comfortable in my skin!  So I've decided to enjoy this last year because it was starting to get me down!  

Anyway, on to the outfits.  The first is what I wore to work in the morning (yea I work Saturdays boo, but only the mornings!).  I came home and had a relaxing day with my family and then we went to dinner at Maggiano's and changed into the second outfit!  My parents got me the jeans and my mom picked them out herself :)  The dinner was awesome and then we came home for ice-cream cake, my fav.  Hope you all had a great weekend!

Pattern Mixing

Sometimes it's scary to mix patterns, but strips can almost act like a neutral.  Start small with shoes or accessories like a scarf.  It's easier to mix similar color palettes and smaller prints!

I always forget to wear a scarf, but it really does add something to an outfit, plus it keeps your neck warm!  I got this scarf as a Christmas present from my aunt and it's so pretty.  It has lots of colors and metallics so it will go well with many outfits.

Housewarming

Two of my girlfriends recently moved to Hoboken and they had a housewarming party on Friday night!  This is what I wore, it was very comfortable (until the last half hour when my feet started to kill ha).  This is one of my favorite shirts that I've gotten this year!

Sorry about the erratic blogging this week, I was off from work and was just enjoying relaxing (meaning I wasn't wearing many blog worthy outfits!).  I did happen to get out of my PJ's one day and this is the outfit!  I just got these flats on sale at American Eagle.  They are really comfortable, I actually have a bunch of shoes from that store.  Certain stores have a stigma, American Eagle is definitely a store most would consider a "teen store" but I try not to limit myself by labels.  I have found great clothes at stores that are for older women and teens... so my advice is keep an open mind when shopping, you never know where you'll find a gem ;)
